Bluenose and FriendGreyhound Relocation & Adoption Canada Adoption Program

In 1993, Hinsdale Greyhound Park, Hinsdale, NH. started the first comprehensive ‘on-site’ holding kennel, and adoption program for retiring racers. Working in cooperation with Hinsdale, we want to help take their successful program one giant step forward to assist in finding loving families, and homes for these incredible ex-athletes.

Greyhound Relocation & Adoption will provide private families the opportunity to visit our facilities and socialize with the Greyhounds available for adoption. Come and see which Greyhound wishes to adopt your family. There is no need to wait months for your pet; we usually have 15 to 40 beautiful Greyhounds awaiting for their forever homes.

Retired racing Greyhounds range from 2 to 5 years of age, and occassionally we have younger and older Greyhounds in our kennel. There is a variety of color, size, and personality. Any injuries will be treated before the Greyhounds enter the adoption plan. Your new family pet will be spayed or neutered, teeth and ears cleaned, toenails clipped, rabies, and 4-way shots administered up-to-date, de-wormed, treated against fleas, and ticks, tested and -if necessary - treated for babesia and ehrlichia, receiving a complete physical examination, and a certificate of good health. Your Greyhound will come with a new set of "Martingale" collar and leash.

Woody and FriendYou may contact us either by phone, fax or via email to set up an appointment. During your visit at GRA Canada, you will have the opportunity to talk to us, to ask questions, and to get acquainted personally with few Greyhounds who - we all feel - may fit your lifestyle. You are more than welcome to take them for a walk, and observe them in our exercise yard.
If you already have another dog we encourage you to bring it along to see how they would take to each other. Bring your children along too. "Dogs and Kids" is a match made in Heaven, and it is important your young ones are involved in your selection.

Pictures and bios of available for adoption hounds are displayed under "Available Greyhounds".
